Jacob on DVDStacy Davidson co-produced the film under his own production company, Odyssee Pictures, and served as cinematography, editor and visual effects supervisor, providing several matte painting shots along with numerous roto and paint enhancements.

The film’s director, Larry Carrell, also co-starred in the film, playing both the drunken boyfriend Otis and his twin brother, officer Billy. He was joined by veteran blockbuster stars James Hampton (Teen Wolf, The China Syndrome) and Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, Tombstone).

Jacob, which received Best Cinematography at the Macabre Fair Film Festival in Long Island, New York, marks the fourth film shot by Davidson.

The movie was shot primarily with the Canon 7D camera and cropped for 2.35:1 aspect ratio to capture the look of 1980′s John Carpenter films like The Fog and Christine, the original, screen-used titular vehicle of which actually showed up for a cameo in Jacob.
